HydraFacial Sydney

HydraFacial MD Treatment

HydraFacial is a mild non-invasive treatment which causes minimal damage to the surface of the skin. It is designed to improve the upper layer of the skin by targeting free radical damage. The HydraFacial is a non laser treatment that corrects wrinkles, fine lines, impurities and blackheads. It has also had great results when treating hyperpigmentation.

This treatment is safe for all skin types and this even includes sensitive skin. HydraFacial can treat the chest, neck, face, hands and décolletage. It is perfect for post — fraxel patients or individuals with mild sun-damage.

The fact that there is absolutely zero downtime and minimal discomfort does not mean this treatment isn’t effective. In fact, results show quite the opposite. HydraFacial treatment combines four steps into just one 45 minute session and is available at Dr Saras and Co’s Double Bay, Annandale and Miranda clinics in Sydney.

How HydraFacial works

The Vortex-Fusion serum system is what sets the HydraFacial apart from any other procedure. This treatment cleanses, exfoliates and removes dead skin and impurities while restoring essential nutrients like hydraluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants.

Because of its excellent delivery system, these operating ingredients can effectively decrease the appearance of a variety of skin conditions for results that you can feel and see immediately following treatment.

The Procedure

One of our experts at Dr Saras & Co will clean the patient’s skin before during the HydraFacial procedure. This removes surface oil and any makeup on your skin. The HydraFacial wand will move across the face, neck and décolletage. This will gently exfoliate the surface to remove any dead skin cells and steps are taken to hydrate the skin with nourishing serums. It is a multi-step treatment that offers cleansing, exfoliation and moisturising all in one.

The procedure itself is completely painless for the patient and the treatment will only last around 20 minutes. HydraFacial is well tolerated by patients and there is only a report of slight suction, but certainly no pain and very little discomfort.

The HydraFacial will reveal instantly noticeable results and a rejuvenated, refreshed complexion. you will notice brighter and clearer skin, as well as a reduction in acne or signs of aging. While every patient is different, HydraFacial is a recommended treatment every two to three months to keep skin healthy and glowing.

Straight after the treatment you will experience some redness. This generally goes away within one hour; however, some patients report it lasting slightly longer. Flakiness and dryness is also common and usually starts two days after treatment and will last around 48 hours. Not all patients who have the HydraFacial experience peeling but if it does appear it normally subsides within four days after treatment.

This treatment is classed as a ‘lunch time procedure’, which means that there is no downtime and minimal discomfort. Patients are free to leave the clinic when they are ready and resume their daily routine. This includes going back to work.
