Despite living a healthy lifestyle, with a clean diet and regular exercise, there are areas of the body that seem to hold fat against all of the odds. Now with the revolutionary Cooltech, you can target stubborn pockets of fat in one or two treatment sessions and with zero downtime. This is a non-surgical body contouring procedure that can target areas where there is excess fat, helping you achieve the ideal silhouette. It can be used as a non-invasive version of liposuction. Cooltech can target areas, such as the buttocks, thighs, hips, back, abdominal area and inner knees.
This non-invasive procedure is suitable for men and women, with two hand applicators for faster fat reduction and fewer treatment sessions. In the first treatment session, 20 to 30 per cent of fat can be diminished. Dr Saras & Co now offer Cooltech in their Annandale and Double Bay Clinics located in Sydney.

How Cooltech Works
Cooltech uses a freezing method to permanently destroy fat cells on the body. Using two hand applicators to initiate cool assisted lipolysis, the fat cells are frozen to a temperature that will destroy them. This allows the body to gradually eliminate them over time, reducing the amount of fat in the treated area.
There are six applicators for Cooltech, which allows effective fat reduction from different areas of the body. This includes a straight, curved, tiny, oval, double and tight applicator. The applicator will be set to work at the desired temperature, which can be between 3C and -8C.

Ideal candidates for Cooltech are adults that are in good health and who are struggling with pockets of stubborn fat on the body. It is important to note that this treatment is not a tool for weight loss; rather, it is a body contouring procedure. It will not correct loose skin. On the Body Mass Index scale, patients can be above their preferred body weight.
Before receiving Cooltech fat reduction treatment, it is important to meet with our specialists to discuss your goals for the procedure. During your consultation, we will go over the treatment process and discuss your candidacy. This will include assessing the body and any excess fat. You can also arrange a customised treatment plan and decide on whether one or two treatment sessions will be necessary. This is the perfect time to ask any questions you may have and discuss any concerns about the treatment before you make a decision.
Cooltech is a fast and simple treatment for patients. This involves using two hand applicators simultaneously on the area of the body to be treated. The skin gently goes into the applicator and it is cooled to the selected temperature that is required for fat reduction. The temperature will depend on the target area and the fat fold thickness on the patient’s body. The treatment can last up to 70 minutes. This procedure is well tolerated and will only cause mild discomfort. Patients have described the process as cold on the skin, with a slight pulling sensation. There is no need for anaesthesia.
Cooltech is a non-invasive treatment, which means that there is absolutely no downtime associated with the procedure. It is normal for patients to experience some swelling and red skin around the treated area, but this will subside within a few hours. You are free to leave the clinic as soon as you are ready and you can also return to your daily activities and routine. There are no permanent marks or scars associated with Cooltech.
Results are gradual, as the body eliminates the unwanted fat over time. But, some patients may begin to see results within 15 days of treatment. The full results of a treatment session can reveal fat reduction in about eight weeks. These results are permanent, as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. This means that results can be effected by excess weight gain.
