Chin Sculpting double chin treatment follows a fast and simple procedure. Patients will be given a topical anaesthetic and this will be applied to the chin area. This will ensure minimal pain and discomfort during the procedure.
A transparent grid will be placed onto the chin, which acts as a guide for our specialists. This improves the accuracy of injections so that certain areas of the neck can be avoided, such as nerves and blood vessels. A series of injections will be inserted underneath the chin. Your specialist will create a tailored treatment plan based on your chin profile. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatments.
Chin Sculpting can cause serious side effects, including injection site problems such as bruising, hair loss, open sores (ulcers), and damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site or trouble swallowing and nerve injury in the jaw that can temporarily cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness.
The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area. These are not all of the possible side effects of Chin Sculpting.
When injected into fat under the chin, chin sculpting causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected.
