What is surgical Blepharoplasty?
Surgical eyelid tightening is referred to as Blepharoplasty. It is a surgical procedure performed under anaesthetic on the upper eyelid or lower lid, or both. A section of skin is surgically removed to tighten and lift the skin around the eyes. Dr Saras & Co do not perform surgical Blepharoplasty, we offer a non-surgical Blepharoplasty option with minimal downtime.
Blepharoplasty surgery is typically performed by a cosmetic or plastic surgeon. There are inherent risks and potential complications associated with any surgical procedure with anaesthesia. Surgical Blepharoplasty involves substantial recovery and downtime, and comparatively high cost.
Accor Cosmetic Corrector Non Surgical Blepharoplasty
Accor Cosmetic Corrector non-surgical blepharoplasty treatment at Dr Saras & Co gives a real alternative to a surgical skin tightening procedure. The non-surgical eyelid and under eye skin tightening plasma pen treatment at Dr Saras & Co can potentially give the desired results to the patient without the extended recovery, risks or high cost. Dr Saras & Co offers a range of facial rejuvenation procedures to compliment a non-surgical Blepharoplasty, or it can be performed on its own.
Accor, a plasma generator, is a non-invasive treatment with the tip of the device operated 1mm above the surface of the skin allowing our doctor or nurse to achieve extremely accurate treatments. Accor Cosmetic Corrector works by ionising the gas particles in the air between the tip of our device and the skin, creating a plasma arc with no heat being transferred to the surrounding tissue. The treated tissue retraction and tightening (as opposed to removal) will give an instant tightening effect with results improving in the coming weeks and months with continued skin tightening and collagen production.
Plasma treatments are a relatively new addition to the Australian aesthetic industry. However, Accor was produced after many years of research and clinical studies. Designed in Germany and manufactured in the UK, Accor is the only low-frequency plasma technology in the world.
